Covid-19 Policy

To our patients and future patients,
We are open!

We have resumed our regular business hours but wanted to share with you what has changed at Oregon Kids Pediatric Dentistry in the new world with Covid. Below is a list of precautions we are taking to keep Oregon Kids Pediatric Dentistry a safe place during these trying times:
  1. Adding extra time between patients to allow for proper deep cleaning, air circulation, change of PPE and minimize amount of people in the office at any given time to allow for social distancing
  2. We have installed an ozone air filter that filters to .003 microns, much smaller than the Corona Virus that is approximately .125 microns
  3. Dr. Lentfer will provide most treatment using Solea Laser which reduces aerosols by 80% compared to the traditional drill used in the dental office
  4. The staff and Dr. Lentfer will look a bit different, wearing significantly more PPE than usual. We will post photos soon so you can get your child familiar with how we look before they come to the office
  5. We will be calling the day before your child’s appointment to verify the health of your child and review our new protocol for care
  6. Temperatures will be taken at each visit
  7. A questionnaire will be filled out to assess your child’s risk at each visit
  8. Our waiting area has been cleared of all toys and magazines to reduce spread
  9. As recommended by the Oregon Health Authority, our dental chairs are separated by walls and or cabinets to help enforce social distancing
  10. Our waiting room chairs have been spread apart six or more feet
  11. As always, we follow CDC guidelines for infection control

New Protocol for Patients

  1. We ask that patients check in and wait in your car until it is time for your child’s treatment (if we aren’t ready when you do check in) at which time we will call or text you to come in
  2. Only one parent and patient will be allowed, no siblings (unless we are seeing more than one of your children that day)
  3. If you have a mask, please wear it to your child’s appointment. Due to limited supply of PPE, we will not be able to provide masks for parents
  4. If your child, or anyone in the family, has been sick, or in contact with anyone known to have Corona Virus, within the past two weeks, please let us reschedule you for another time. If your child is sick in any way upon presentation, we will reschedule

Thank you ahead of time for your patience and understanding as we explore this new world. Please know that we are doing everything in our power to provide a safe environment for our patients and staff. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us, we are happy to discuss any concerns you may have.

We are excited to see you all soon!

Sincerely,

Dr. Lentfer and team at Oregon Kids Pediatric Dentistry
